RULES:
Be Real Human Beings:
We recommend that you use real names and/or nicknames as your
username. Feel free to use first names, but realize that you may
need to add a qualifier if you have a common first name. You could
also use a "pen name" if you prefer not to use your real name (such
as "Susie Homemaker" rather than Jennifer Townsend).
Aim for Respectful, Constructive
Conversations:
Respect and civility need to be your ultimate goal in all
interactions in the network.
Search Before Posting:
It's possible that there's already a conversation taking place
about a topic you want to discuss. Keeping it all in one place
makes it easier for everyone who's interested.
Be Relevant:
Keep your posts on-topic and in the correct category of the forum.
Keep comments relevant to the content they are attached to. Don't
forget to tag your posts appropriately. Administrators reserve the
right to edit, delete, lock, and/or move content as necessary.
Don't Be Mean:
There will always be disagreements, but don't let them turn into
FIGHTS. If you must disagree with someone, please do so
respectfully. No discrimination, abusive comments, personal
attacks, name calling, bigotry, etc will be tolerated.
Don't Post Private
Information:
Please don't post phone numbers or addresses in public areas! If
you must share contact information, please do so through private
messages or email. *Please keep in mind we cannot control activity
outside the network.
Don't Spam:
Spammers will be removed! If you aren't sure if what you're posting
is spam, feel free to contact an administrator for
clarification.
Use Appropriate Titles For
Content:
Make sure your title summarizes your content and is not
offensive.
Please Check Your CAPS
LOCK:
When you type in all caps, people tend to feel like they are being
yelled at. Caps are appropriate when EMPHASIZING a word and/or when
you are abbreviating a long name (such as BBB for Better Business
Bureau).
Keep It PG:
Please don't use bad language or discuss inappropriate topics,
which may include sexual and/or violent content. There may be
children on the network, and they shouldn't be exposed to these
sorts of things.
Keep It Legal:
Please don't post illegal content to the network. This would
include photos, written content, videos, and/or music that you do
not own the copyright to.
Use English:
Although we welcome people of all nationalities, the majority of
our members (and our Administrators) speak English. Please make it
easy for everyone to enjoy your content!
VIOLATION
CONSEQUENCES:
1st Offence: Verbal Warning
2nd Offence: Suspension
Repeated Offences:
Permanent Ban
Some offences will incur a harsher punishment than others. The
punishment is ultimately up to the Administrators. If you are
permanently banned, you will not be allowed back. Banned members
who manage to re-join will be re-banned.
